I think clling the Wrangler Gladiator pickup is a mistake. I t should just be called a Wranger, with Scrambler, and Gladiator as trim packages, including stripes , and the name on the hood of coarse.
Maybe the gladiator as a loaded offload 4 door like a Rubicon ,and the S crambler as a striped down version that still has the offroad goodies, like the Willys edition Wrangler.

To me, the Scrambler name never felt apropos. It’s clearly a large vehicle, so “scrambling” isn’t something it’s going to be good at, and the original Gladiators were much more substantial trucks.
This does mean it’s going to be impossible to search the web for OG Gladiators .
